Route: Acqui T. – Valloria – Moirano – Castel Rocchero – Fontanile – Castelletto Molina – Mombaruzzo Stazione – Maranzana – Ricaldone – Alice Bel Colle – Castel Rocchero – Acqui Terme ( around 47 km)

Start from the centre of Acqui T.  follow corso Roma and turn right in via Amendola; pass over the railway crossing and after  150m on the left turn in strada della Valloria, and cycle along a nice country road.  At the end turn right, go uphill until you arrive in Moirano, a little hillside locality where a wonderful view extends far across to the Alps.  Continue cycling towards  Castel Rocchero where a sea  of vineyards unfolds as far as the eye can see, with a view extending far across the hills towards Nizza and all the Alps, that enclose as a natural frame this beautiful natural scenario.

Continue cycling in the direction of Fontanile, where in the distance you’ll see the imposing nineteenth century church dedicated to San Giovanni Battista with its remarkable cupola that dominates  the landscape. Continue cycling across the hillsides and vineyards until you arrive in Castelletto Molina, a small village with its castle (private).  Afterwards you’ll reach  Mombaruzzo stazione, famous for the amaretti.  Cycling up and down the beautiful hillsides, among fascinating scenery of vineyards, you’ll arrive in Maranzana, a little village with its castle, to continue and arrive in Ricaldone surrounded by breath-taking scenery.  Cycle along the ridge that leads towards Alice Bel Colle, and in the highest part of the village is a panoramic tower where you can enjoy a breath-taking view that extends at 360 across all the landscape.  Continue pedalling and not long afterwards on the left turn and follow “Bricco Oddone”  where the 15th century sanctuary della Fraschetta is and opposite in the vineyards is the pink big bench called “del sole/ of the sun”.

Continue back along the road of the Bricco and at the end turn left and follow the signs towards Acqui Terme, after around 10km you’ll arrive in via Nizza, continue straight on and you’ll arrive back in the city centre.
